The Mississippi Mud Monsters are coming to a park near you, and so will be its first pitching coach, Hattiesburg High alumni Rob Carson, III. Carson was the 14th round Major League Baseball (MLB) draft pick in 2007 and pitched with the New York Mets' organization from 2012-13. Carson has appeared in more than 300 games, both affiliated and independent leagues, before leaning into his role as a coach.
