Burger Wins at Beta Convention
3/26/2014

N.R. Burger Middle School Junior Beta Club recently attended the National Junior Beta State Convention, held on March 24-25, 2014, at the Bancorp Arena in Tupelo, Mississippi. While at convention, the club participated in numerous academic, talent, and craft competitions, most of which were centered around the 80th Anniversary and history of Beta Club. The N.R. Burger Betas' competitive spirit earned the club four invitations to compete at the National Junior Beta Club Convention in Richmond, Virginia, on June 21-24, 2014. 

Group Talent - The 22 cast members' rousing baseball themed "History of Beta" earned the group a top 5 finish on the final day of competition.

Living Literature - 2nd Place for "In Moves Pippi" - Living Literature cast members: Myles Johnson, Mina Burton, Talya King, Zaccheus Wilson, and Jacobi Polk

Wreath - 2nd Place: Club Project

Tshirt Design - 3rd Place:  Myles Johnson, Zaccheus Wilson, and Micah Baskin

Watercolor - 3rd Place:  Kayla Campbell

N.R. Burger Middle School Junior Beta Club recently attended National Junior Beta Convention which was held on June 15-28, 2013 in Mobile, Alabama. While at convention, the club competed in the following events:  pencil sketching and quilting.

N. R. Burger Middle School Junior Beta Club recently attended the National Junior Beta Convention which was held on March 25-26, 2013, at the Bancorp Arena in Tupelo, Mississippi. While at convention, the club competed in numerous events which earned the club two invitations to compete at the National Junior Convention in Mobile, Alabama, on June 15-18, 2013. Chrystal Wilson placed first in quilting and Camryn Killingsworth placed second in pencil sketching.

Beta Club Applications 2012-2013
Beta Club applications will be available Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in the front office. All completed applications should be submitted via the dropbox in the library by 4 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2012. Please read the application carefully.
Tis' the Season for Service Projects 
On Saturday, November 5, 2011 the N. R. Burger Middle School Beta Club completed a November Service Project, “Operation Christmas Child.” OCC is a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse International. Beta Club members filled shoeboxes with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and candy. After filling and labeling the boxes, the members wrapped the shoeboxes in decorative paper. The shoeboxes will be dropped off at a local church before being shipped all over the world.

N.R. Burger Middle School Junior Beta Club recently attended National Junior Beta Convention which was held on June 17-20, 2011 in Nashville, Tennessee. While at convention, the club competed in the following events:  T-shirt design,  living literature, and sketching.
